Broadening Missional Initiatives
As we look into the Bible, we see that the 1st century church transformed their world by taking the message of Christ out to the people who needed to hear it. We desire to follow this model and to take the love of God beyond the walls of the church. This past January, we launched eight different Missional Church Initiatives. Over two hundred people committed to participate in various initiatives that reached a wide variety of populations, including the youth of Washtenaw County, classmates and coworkers, international students, the elderly, families of ailing children, and the underprivileged in Detroit. This is just the beginning, as there are still so many difficult places and areas of darkness that need the light of Jesus Christ. We believe that as we continue broadening missional initiatives that launch us out of our comfort zone, we will see life transformation among people who might never have stepped foot into a church.
